I didn’t realize the DREAM Act was drafted solely for the benefit of the illegal alien Latino community.

Quote:
“It is time for members of Congress to show where they stand on the future of these young men and women and on moving the country forward,” said Janet Murguía, NCLR President and CEO. “This vote will reveal whether they stand with the Latino community and these young people who want to serve and contribute to the only country they have ever called home. Make no mistake—the Latino community will be watching this vote closely. The time for hiding behind excuses and moving the goal posts is over.”

You didn't really believe a group named "The Race" cares about all people and believes all people of all races and backgrounds have unlimited rights to come here in unlimited numbers and demand all the benefits and rights of American citizens did you?

Only the really wacko bleeding hearts believe that the USA can take in the over 2 billion impoverished people of the world and provide them all a high standard of living. The La Raza groups are all about race and their own ethnic groups, not all people. They simply believe that the entire population of Latin American nations has the right to break any immigration law and come here as they please.

That sounds like a threat for violence if they don't get their way.
Time to place the power back into the right hands. The citizens, not the trespassers.

Definitely an ultimatum.

The nerve. My congressperson is a toad so I doubt she'll do the right thing. I intend to let her know how much of a toad I think she is BEFORE she makes her vote with hope that it will motivate her to do the right thing and vote with Americans and not against us.

But, but, racism is OK when it is "for the children".

Even if that 'child is' 35! I know that some of the dream act hopefuls were brought here as children with no choice in the matter, but most of them are now past 18...staying even though they know they're illegal. That act makes them responsible for their actions as adults. It just disgusts me to no end.

It isn't.

But if you have an advocacy group made up of individuals mainly of a particular group, wouldn't it make sense that they advocate for their group...surely thats understandable.

Did that statement really sound like a threat of violence to you, or are you being a tad bit dramatic?

Wouldn't La Raza's actions be considered "Racial Profilling"? and "pure" I might add.
