There is absolutely nothing in this 'news' that is tied to illegal immigration. Your only issue is that she's a Latina and that's your real agenda, not illegal immigration.
Her twin sister is President of Laraza. A group well known for its advocacy for illegals. You don't see any conflict in this? When you are asked to be a jurist they ask if you know, or have any relatives or if there are any conflicts that would cause you to biased?
There is a clear conflict here. If she awards in a manner that is not in favor of her sisters beliefs then she can face personal problems as a result. We are not talking about a sister who just happens to believe in a cause. She is the president of LARAZA....

Can she not be an independent thinker and judge based solely on the rule of law? That's a judge's job. You are assuming that is impossible for her. Until it's proven that she is emotionally and intellectually compromised in her court decisions, I will give her the benefit of the doubt.

She's been a federal judge for over ten years. Certainly she's had her political detractors over those ten years and they would've been all over her if familial ties even hinted at affecting her decisions.

Prior to appointment judges are investigated by law enforcement. They are investigated again (by the FBI) when they are an applicant to an even higher court. Hopefully, the FBI would be able to determine if there is any concrete prejudice. You've got to have faith and confidence in something ~

I see a potential conflict only if Judge Murguia presides over cases which determine the status of illegal immigrants. Has she done so in her past ten years as a federal judge? I don't know. But if she has, we'll soon hear about it.
