I don't know if this has ever been asked here or anywhere.

If a person not of this nation, purchases land in this nation, are they now able to come and go as they please? How does that work?

Personally, and the American in me says, you cannot own title to land or a deed, if you are not a full USA citizen. But that isn't the case as we all know. How does that work?

A lot of illegal immigrants probably own land. There have been cases of them owning homes under false SSN#s getting found-out-about and having to leave their homes. No, no one is able to come and go as they please just because they own land. How do you mean, "come and go as they please?"

Come and go, meaning they come and go.

I own that over there, so I'm going to what I own.
My question is, why are they able to own American soil in the first place?

The short answer is no. Simply owning land in this country does NOT convey any form of legal residency or citizenship.

Because they lied on applications or had false identities. A lot of the people they lie to are private businesses or local governments. They have learned how to fabricate documents and lie to those parties.

Look up on the internet about illegal immigrants who own homes, businesses. You will see what they did to get those things.

There's no legal reason a foreign national can't own property in this country. Illegal aliens however probably falsify documents for mortgage purposes.

Besides - it would be very easy for them to buy some land up - a half an acre or so of that desert land that sells for $200. Many foreign citizens get duped into buying that land thinking it's going to get them rich in the USA and gives them rights to come here and demand the citizenship they think goes with it.

What if they buy up that kind of land, land with no utilities and roads and could never live on thier land? Would land ownership give them a right to just come here?

That would be almost as good a deal for illegals as coming here to give birth except the birth doesn't cost them a dime and they get lots of government handouts.

A few years ago, I looked into buying a house in Canada. No problem, I could buy the house. However, I was still restricted to the maximum 6-month stay for a foreign national. (I think it was six months)

After the six months I would have to leave the country (not being a citizen or having a particular visa). Also, I would NOT have been allowed to obtain employment in Canada, home-owner or not.

There is no law forbiding a foreign national from owning real property in the United States. Many foreigners own homes and businesses in the US. Many buy real propery as investments.

True.
But how many illegals buy land or property using their actual names? How many do so by fraud, or using a false ID?
