SAN DIEGO - Bulldozers are rolling again on the U.S.-Mexico border, moving hundreds of tons of dirt to make way for a 16-foot steel fence in an area that once was the most popular crossing for illegal immigrants.

I seriously doubt a moron like Presidente Jorge Busho will really build the fence. Maybe he now realizes that Americans are fed up with Washington's inability to get stuff done and that any "guest worker" program will have to be backed up by beefed up security and enforcement first.

But we will see.

Does anyone believe the fence will be built??

Only if it's built with a revolving turnstile.

I know evryone on here understands the idea of a real fence but do the people building it understand that if you build a fence, the illegals will dig tunnels to go under. And here lies another problem, even if you put the fence 15 feet down in the ground, they will dig a tunnel until they get to it and then cut through the fence.
What they need to do if they really insist on a fence is, dig a trench 20 feet down and about 50 yards wide and fill it with concrete and then they can put up the fence.
The border patrol keeps finding tunnels, so what makes them think they wont keep building tunnels unless they make something they cant dig through and that is concrete, but you have to make it deep enough and wide enough otherwise they will get through it also.
Just my opinion.:

The fence isn't designed to stop the criminals from getting in. Only slow them down long enough for the border patrol to get there.

A better idea would be to put about fifty-thousand US troops on the border with orders to defend and protect this nation at all costs.

Yes!
Thank you.Bring our troops home to guard our borders.I stated the same thing in one of my other posts.I dont care if all them people over there kill themselves but why should our military protect them while our borders are being overrun, but of course it doesnt help when the border patrol isnt even allowes to use force.I say let them use whatever means necessary to protect us.Our troops are dying for no reason.
