Here here!
Cut the cash to "sanctuary cities" until they renounce their contrary policies.

It's about time.

Then if the pro-illegals really believe that the illegals build and economy and don't take government handouts and services, they won't object at all. Cities with large populations of illegals wouldn't need the handouts if the pro-illegals are right.

Either the sanctuary cities tow the line or the
people in charge should be brought up on
charges of contempt and treason

They can not have it both ways and Must be held accountable
this should also included at the Federal level

In a matter of weeks, Congress will go from trying to help young, illegal immigrants become legal to debating whether children born to parents who are in the country illegally should continue to enjoy automatic U.S. citizenship.
Congress is great a debating...Having the Supreme Court to even contemplate re-visiting the 14th amendment to the Constitution, is almost nill.

There could be proposed curbs on federal spending in cities that don't do enough to identify people who are in the country illegally and attempts to reduce the numbers of legal immigrants
.

There are no federal statues requiring any municipality to act as immigration officials. National League of Cities holds power in state's legislatures...attempting to withold funds to cities means a short-fall to the states.

Think again. There’s more than enough support for stopping this egregious abuse of the 14th Amendment by foreign invaders.

Oh please. These jurisdictions are aiding and abetting illegal aliens, which is a violation of federal law. They have a legal basis to deny funds.

From the article:

But it also could further hurt the GOP in its endeavor to grab a large enough share of the growing Latino vote to win the White House and the Senate majority in 2012.
Why do we keep hearing about the "growing Latino vote?" The blunt question is: how many of the "growing Latino vote" can legally vote? If the DHS and ICE were to deport even a small piece of the Latino illegal immigrants (who are lumped into that "growing population) then legislators wouldn't be so conned into think they have to give into illegal immigrants (whom are mostly Hispanics, more specifically, Mexican). It's blunt and true.

The illegal immigrant community and the people that fight for them are trying to bully politicians with this whole idea that politicians need to Latino/Hispanic vote. It's so obvious.

Did you say once that you weren't Pro-illegal or did you change your stance on that? Either way is ok so long as you have a stance.

More johnson waggling by a do-nothing Congress.

So they are ordering cities to take a harder stance on illegal immigration, but in the same breath condemn Arizona for dealing with illegal immigration. Riiiight.
