Maryland Politics: 'Dream Act' for Maryland's college-bound immigrants - Politics and Policy from Baltimore, Annapolis and Washington - baltimoresun.com

Interesting to read one of the comments

This is just sad.

I guess we should all reward illegal immigrants. I have never heard of any country in this world who basically "welcomes" illegal immigrants with open arms like we do.

Try pulling this shlt in Mexico to see what happens!

You do not become a citizen of a country by just planting your rear end there, is more to it than that.

I'm just glad it's not my state doing something this stupid (yet). They're free to throw their money away

Sen.-elect Victor Ramirez, a Prince George's County Democrat

I am NOT surprised.

Iím so sick of these pandering arses in my state. I have sent so many letters to Mikulski and Cardin, Iím sure they both have my dossier in their files. Sadly, there are too many pathetic sheeple in MD who continue to vote for them. The same is true for that spineless, pro-illegal OíMalley. He wonít be satisfied until illegals completely overrun this state. And, the fools in Takoma Park allow illegals to vote in their elections.

These words may help.

11 states offer in-state tuition or "in-state" tuition rates to illegal immigrants. None of these states offer a pathway to citizenship[i.e. Dream Act].

The voters of these states did so.

Thank you, but we all realize they will not be legalized. The state is referring to this bill as the Maryland Dream Act.

We have already killed a similar bill in MD, and hopefully we will do it again.
