Will it survive in the future?
What will a dream act mean for Americans???

Harry Reid needs to be tossed like a salad

Quote:
“A President, who has NEVER taken an oath of allegiance to the Constitution of the United States, because as I’ve already pointed out, the infant child was not able to take that Nationality Oath of Citizenship because the mother acquired a birth certificate. A mother that was illegally in the USA and who was a National Citizen of Mexico.

To blame CHILDREN for being here illegally is stupid. These children were raised here in America, and have American values and culture. The Dream act supports those who get an education. The only way this country will survive is with an EDUCATED population. Why wouldn't we wanted educated children to be part of society? Stop thinking with prejudice and think with LOGIC.

Eighteen year old foreign nationals are not children. They are residents of another country. They can go back there. In the meantime we have millions of educated Americans who cannot find jobs. Let's focus on their needs and not worry about lawbreakers and their ludicrously demanding offspring.

The DREAM act is nothing more than a reward to people who skip the line. There's no reason for American tax dollars to support more education for a thirty year old from Mexico. All the act does is encourage ever more illegal migration.

Okay, let's use logic here.

How does the US government plan to verify that "undocumented" individuals have been in the country for 5 years, when they are "undocumented" and have no proof of their stay of residence? Especially if they were paid under the table..

Why should illegal aliens get special treatment over legal immigrants who waited years, even decades, to enter this country? Why do you feel that people who do things the illegal way should laugh at the faces of those who did it the legal way?

The dream act was for people aged 18-30, and originally the maximum age was 35. How is someone that age considered a child?

Why do you consider someone anti-illegal immigration as prejudiced? That's very accusatory and insulting. Some of us just want to see our nation's immigration laws respected, and could care less about what nationality the illegals are.

2 years of college does not an educated individual make. You can't be a lawyer or doctor with 2 years of college.

Why was there a provision in the bill that allowed Janet Napolitano to grant amnesty at any point in time to everyone in the program if it was deemed for the greater good? Does this not appear as suspicious or sneaky? Especially the way Senator Durbin responded when called out on it?

Why not create an AMERICAN DREAM act? Why not create a program where more US citizens can access expensive college education? Why place so much importance on illegals? Are they more important than our own citizens?

We owe absolutely nothing to these children. I'm sorry if it sounds harsh, but these spoiled brats who are out there protesting should be complaining to their parents for putting them in their situation, not trying to milk the US taxpayer out of more cash. US citizenship is not a right, it's a privilege.

The DREAM Act has no benefits for the American citizen. It basically means we have to spend the estimated 4 billion dollars the program would cost on people who illegally entered the country. I'm sorry, but if I want to have an educated populace, I'd put some more American citizens in college.

Every child knew/knows their parents and they are here illegally. Every child/parent needs to be deported and not rewarded for criminal behavior. Period.

It's time to send the message that there are consequences for being in this country illegally.

Well if that's true, I'm sure their OWN countries will welcome them back with open arms.

We have enough American children to educate properly.

They already get free education.

To REWARD them would be just as stupid.

If you think the DREAM Act beneficiaries are innocent CHILDREN, please visit the DREAM Act Portal Forum. I assure you, it will be an enlightening experience. They are not children; they are criminal aliens just like their parents. The fact that they entered this country as children does not negate their unlawful ADULT behavior.
