Too bad we canít have a class action lawsuit against the government for the theft of our tax dollars being squandered on foreign interlopers, and their 4+ million anchor babies; or, for the countless crimes perpetrated by illegal aliens against citizens and legal residents. If we could, I bet we would see mega changes and real enforcement of our laws.

Default Brewer to Countersue Federal Government Over Immigration Enforcement

Quote:
Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer announced Thursday that her state will file a countersuit against the federal government, claiming Washington has failed to enforce immigration law along the southern border.

The governor said the federal government hasn't secured the state's border with Mexico and has stuck Arizona with the costs tied to illegal immigration.

"Because the federal government has failed to protect the citizens of Arizona, I am left with no other choice," Brewer said.

Governor Brewer continues to do the job the Federal government refuses to do. Good work.

Interesting, I don't think she'll be successful but interesting.

Technically the federal government is doing what they have to do by executing the laws that are on the book, as long as they are deporting found illegal aliens.

If people can sue everytime a crime is committed that the state or federal government doesn't stop, then there would be a whole lot of lawsuits.

For instance, if someone wanted to sue the state of Arizona because they didn't stop the shooting by Jared Loughner, wouldn't that fall under the same type of lawsuit?

No, apples and oranges.

It would be more akin to Louisiana suing the federal government for the costs associated with BP spill cleanup.

The original jurisdiction is the federal governments (federal waters/national border) and when it fails in its job and the costs are heaped upon the state then the state has the duty to its tax-paying legal residents to try to recoup those expenses.

Under the Constitution it would seem Gov. Brewer has one option left to her that she has not used: the AZ National Guard.

Your right. Too dang bad our Government just does not get it. Even with a lawsuit, just don't think they grasp the scope of this problem, how could they not, and be our Government, just don't understand this myself.
