Another reason for Americans not wanting to do the work no one else will supposedly do is the taxation of the cheap labor jobs, and under cover law agents on the farms trying to catch tax evaders and illegals....

Another reason is that in many of the production plants, factories, and construction companies that are left they have dismissed their regular community based employees and hired the legal and illegal cheaper immigrant labor.... And, you wonder why people are pissed off...

Another reason is that many jobs and farms no longer exist.....

This issue goes even deeper on its socioeconomic impact....
That is one theory sure. I just wish we could see what would happen if we end benefits for everyone, not just illegal’s, that way we would see who is right. Would they still come and work? Would Americans take their jobs? I don't know.

Based on my experience in the early 80's the illegal’s were much more reliable, hard working and dependable. In a small manufacturing company I knew, the illegal’s would ride bikes or buses from miles away to get there at 7 am. The Americans would usually be "sick" on Monday and had half the gumption of the illegal’s.

I used to walk or ride a bike to work along with many other American workers until I got my own transportation.... It is not safe to walk or ride bikes to anywhere now a days especially at night.... There are a lot of lazy people today who have become dependent on govt money whether American or immigrant, and with the lack of jobs drug dealing and other crime has taken the place of jobs.... Here is a big part of our problem today...

You know, I've been on this issue since it first surfaced 3 years ago and now, especially coming into the home stretch with the laws being enacted around the country to make sure only a qualified candidate gets on the ballot - and the new supreme court challenge that you'll like (see world net daily.) I just take the term in stride. It really is better in a way because if we stick to "birther" then when we're right the message board idiots can't say "The eligibility challengers" were right, but the birthers were still crazy" because that's exactly what most of the smarmy progressive liberal creeps are likely to do.

"I'm a so-called birther **** seems like a good motto now that we're poised to win this thing manifestly. Here, you'll like this...

Very True...and it goes deeper...

First off, govt does legislate morality, and where rulers lead people will tend to follow. This is demonstrated in scripture many times, in the US today, and in foreign dictatorships today.... The only way people can break free of moraless dictatorships is through knowledge gained outside the dictators, and armed revolt....

Laws are based on moral codes and rationales...they do not come out of thin air unless you are a dictator who can capriciously make law through decree based on a dictators personal likes or dislikes....+

The Founders borrowed a moral code from the Judeo-Christian scripturs to contruct our laws, and our Republic upon in order to preserve us and our Christian nation from other religious and secular tyrants of nations past and present....

The Founders knew that if we allow our God and his moral system of governing and law making to be subverted or removed by evil men they would attempt to play god themselves.... King George III, Hitler, Ceasers, Lenin, Stalin, Putin, Kim Jong-il, Hu Jintao, Mubarak, and Chazev to name a few.... When man replaces God with himself there is mass murder and oppression instead of the blessings of liberty....

It seems like a great idea to be tolerant of every group, and encourage anyone to move into your community. But what happens when a few belonging to a violent, extremist group moves in, and over time more and more arrive, and suddenly the original group (liberal super-tolerant, super-accepting of everyone) is now the minority?

I would rather have 10 of them here than one of you.

Guess you missed this American doing all of those things including walking many miles to make sure I got there as well.

Two days ago on my job (electrician) a driver from the shop (of Hispanic descent) asked me why American guys didn't want to be Electricians.
I laughed and told him that in the 90's the number of Mexicans on the job were about 5-7% of the total in our trade.
Now it's about 98%.

Reason?
Wages severly stagnated and communication between workers became very difficult and in some locations outright impossible.

This is a dangerous job especially when there is not very clear understanding between each other.
Some Americans went to smaller companies, some went out on their own, and others got out of the trade all together.
I'm still there.
Most of what I do each day is fix the work that the newcomers performed.
Many have not gone beyond elementary school or 8th grade before coming here.

Some are very good because they cared to learn and be good but that is certainly not a majority or close.

This has not turned out very well for the customer either as getting it done has surpassed getting it done right.
Yes, companies are very much to blame too.

Good job for working hard, it is nice to see. I can imagine a lot of issues in your scenario.

This problem will only increase in the future but soon it will be automation and robotics causing problems.

Basically, progressive liberals are advocates of Washington's progressive global business as usual: continued theft of the private job sector and overall Republic, promotion of immorality/perversion, baby killing, irradication of Judeo-Christianity, one world progressive governance, progressive attack on the family/divide and conquer, progressive indoctrination of all children, Eugenics, euthanasia, mass incarceration (penal & Mental)... mass immigration and bankrupt communities turned into a boiling pot of cultural confict and subversion, Multiculturalism, taxation with the appearence of representation, minority special interests rule, global corporate/gov't monopoly on all assets, resources, and liberties....
