According to Mexican officials, the Calderon-Obama meeting was planned before the Zapata killing, and will focus on economic issues, anti-crime cooperation, and conditions for the estimated 12 million Mexican migrants living in the United States.

Wait a minute. . . how do we only have 10.8 million illegals, if we have 12 million Mexican “migrants” -- the popular euphemism for Mexican illegal aliens?

He's hoping we don't make any serious efforts to deport illegal immigrants from Mexico because if we do then he'll have to make a serious effort to address why they leave in the first place. The Mexican president would rather sweep the problem under the rug.

[or over the border which is equally convenient]

I didn't hear that they were discussing illegal immigration. I heard NAFTA, drug trafficking, violence and fire arms.

Did you actually think Calderon would not discuss and defend his cash cow?

Default Mexican President Felipe Calderon calls for U.S. to pass immigration reform — soon

Quote:
He said America needs to pass federal immigration reform sooner or later -- preferably sooner. He called it a "natural relation" between countries.
Quote:
"As a president, I don't like the feeling of over 400 Mexican people who die every year trying to cross the border," Calderon said, but recognizes it is inevitable at this point with the Mexican economy still on its way up.
Quote:
Regarding the half a million deportees back to Mexico, he called it "unfair" that the U.S. deports illegal immigrants because it is cheaper than putting them through the American legal system.

Americans have been very generous, but you can't be generous with people who hate this country and want to milk the system by entering illegally.

I consider it an insult to mine and every Americans intelligence the way this administration with the help
of Janet Napolitano have down played our National Security along the southern border, If someone or something slips through their bigger problem will become the American Citizen and that day is getting closer !

There will no place for Obama, Napolitano & Calderón to hide.

Our agents must be allowed to defend themselves against the heavily-armed cartels. Otherwise, we need to keep our people on this side of the border. Let Calderon and his corrupt military handle the drug cartels.

It seems that Calderón and his buddy Obama have some
kind of agenda besides what they were elected to do

Obama has had two plus years and Calderón longer to
have put an end to this but have chosen not to it's really
pretty clear
