I really worry about the backlash towards legal migrants in all the DL laws being proposed. Over and over again I see it stated that only citizens should have the right to drive legally when in fact it's also LEGAL residents that have a right to a valid DL as well.

For one example it's been reported that in NM ahead of any state wide change in DL law, Eddy County has decided to "stop issuing DL to foreign nationals". Well I'm sure that's going to be an issue for any LEGAL resident in that County requiring a DL or renewal of same.

So tired of the lines being blurred between those here legally and the illegal interlopers (and it's being done by BOTH sides of the illegal immigration argument btw)

Watch the staff then in some of these offices. It would not surprise me at all if there are some very good mordidas being paid them. In fact I very much suspect there are. They have control over those licenses being issued, and currently they actually advise people coming in on how to commit fraud in order to be given the licenses.
