Agreed, and not only that, in 1916 we actually took efforts to stop them (ex. Pershing's expedition into northern Mexico, and the deployment of over 200,000 troops to the border). I doubt Obama would even lift a finger should the cartels do a repeat of Villa's raid. In fact, he would probably find some way to bury the news and prevent it from getting out.

Or, apologize to Mexico for our failure to provide them with better weaponry.

So is this a discussion of Villa's vs. the new drug cartels' fire power? Wouldn't anyone today not realize that drug cartels are well financed and their weaponry is top-notch? Isnt that a given?

How does understanding Villa's reign of terror in the Southwest US in the early 20th century, add to any solution to the drug cartels of today?

What's to say that the reason why some of these illegals aren't here is because of the cartel violence.

Time to put troops on the border to keep them out because when the cartels kill the president of Mexico or some high ranking officials the fit will hit the shan and they will be swarming over the border.

Well, I guess the Obama administration had ATF tell the gun shop owners on the border to sell guns to the cartel so they could track them. One of those weapons was used to kill the federal agent in Mexico a few weeks ago. So, I guess, we will supply them with the latest weaponry too.

Scarier and scarier???
