Why hasnt a town that is tired of dealing with illegals (like Haz. PA) not sued the federal government since they wont let them create their own laws while at the same time refusing to enforce the current laws? I think PA should do this right now since it would show the public how corupt the government is?

Can you sue the federal government? I know years ago you could not do this. Although I believed the laws have changed - but I am not sure.

And isn't hazelton use the 287g (?) homeland security laws to it's advantage. I know in chicagoland, many towns are starting with these because they can't get relief any other way. If they are not, they need to.

Passivity, apathy, ignorance, fear, pick one....these traits are the American Way now for many it seems. That is how we got in this mess to begin with, allowing the idiots ("leaders") in DC do their dirty deals for years behind our backs. Surely soon the sleeping dog will awaken!

Unfortunately, suing the federal government, if it is possible, means just taxing American citizens, since we are the source of federal income. Best just to enforce the laws!!!!!!!!!!

The federal government can only be sued if it lets if self be sued. Even then, if the judicial branch of the government even allows a case to go forward it has no authority to order the US House of Representatives (where all spending bills must originate) to pay the judgment. The IRS for example has literally lost lawsuit after lawsuit but never pays up.

From what I heard on the news today the illegal immigrants can sue the city of Hazelton but and American citizen does not have the same rights. We better all get loud and fast.

The illegal aliens have already done it. And the federal liberal activist judge allowed the case to go forward keeping the plaintiff's identities confidential. Hazelton lost the case, and to this day they still don't know who sued them. Thank God for the appellate courts.
