With regard to illegal immigration and open borders - all he has to say is no to open borders, round up the illegals and deport them so Americans can work again. Secure the borders from being breached by illegal entry. And reverse the anchor baby laws going back to the last amnesty in the 1980's and he's got my vote.

That would be the best case scenario but unfortunately ending birthright citizenship won't be made retroactive.

Personally I don't care whether he is or not, as I don't think he's going to get any traction. I have to ask if this is the best America can do for a Presidential candidate though.

He's pretty much the poster child of big business, they love illegals more than anyone for the cheap labor. If anything he's likely pro-amnesty.

He'd have to pretty pointedly come out and say he'd seriously close the borders and deport before I'd trust it. Remember, Reagan provided amnesty and the Bush Administrations completely looked the other way as 15-20 million came in pretty much unchecked over the past 20 years. Big business is for free "immigration," under the theory that this creates a "fair" labor market. Yea right.

For all the hate on Obama on this, he's probably been doing more to bust illegals than any of our past three Republican Presidents or Clinton. That isn't saying much, granted, but it's true.

The law that people have been abusing by giving birth to babies in the USA by parents who entered illegally, and parents who enter for birth tourism.

You're referring to the 14th amendment, yes?
