The hospital I am going to give birth at ( the same I was at yesterday ) is one of the top hospitals in the country. They sure are picky, aren't they? It must be nice when you are not paying a dime.
What really disturbed me (and this other lady that was sitting across from me) is that the pregnant one was holding a 2 month old (don't think it was hers) and she was feeding her Boston Cream DONUTS. I was horrified.
She did not speak English....she spoke Spanish only and didn't even make an effort. They have to have an interpreter present.
Now let's see how many people are going to come out and saying I am racist!
I have also seen many Brazilians at the same Maternity Ward who are not here legally. They don't even hide that at all. They will straight up tell you they are here illegally. It's almost like they're rubbing in your faces: "See, my kid now will be AMERICAN! and there is nothing you can do about it!"
Yeah, they love rubbing it in our faces, don't they? How many articles have we all read where they are claiming they will be the majority in the not to distant future? I don't mind a natural demographic change but there is nothing natural about it occuring through illegal immigration and the farse of anchor babies.

That’s exactly what they’re doing. They realize if they give birth here, they are set for life. Their unborn children are treated as U.S. citizens, which qualifies them for tax-funded prenatal care. After the babies are born, their parents get the whole enchilada. They taunt us by flaunting their children, because they know nothing will be done. It makes me sick to my stomach each time I see them waddling around pregnant. Of course, they usually have at least 2 or 3 additional anchors in tow. They “earn” more from having babies than they do from jobs. It’s nauseating.

You know what's sad? I am struggling to make ends meet and I am so reluctant to go to the WIC office and enroll myself in their program. It makes me feel so horrible having to depend on tax payer's money - even though I have payed taxes for almost 10 years now.
How can these people just drop kid after kid after kid and be able to sleep at night knowing that someone else is essentially supporting them?
Yeah...and best of all, these people never pay us and that's ok.
It's what we call and unfunded mandate...do the work or else...and btw, no one will be paying you. Have a nice day.
Illegals should be given a hospital bill just like everyone else. It's absurd that Americans must pay into costly insurance plans or sign away their assets to obtain health care but illegals aren't expected to pay a dime.
They don't have to worry about ever being deported, they demand and pretty much have all the rights of citizens but none of the responsibilities. At the very least, have deadbeat illegals who don't pay their bills deported and barred from legal reentry permanently.
Illegals can come up with plenty of money when it comes to paying criminals working for the cartels thosands of dollars to have themselves smuggled over the border and they can pay hundreds of dollars a month in remittances to their beloved homeland.
And you can tell the beer and liquor dealers know where the money is by looking at the ads in Spanish. Illegals have plenty of money for the fun stuff but almost never do they expect to have to pay anything for necessities like a doctor's office visit.
For emergency care yes. For anything else, no. Why should a doctor's organization argue that Mexican nationals are entitled to anything else? Especially at American taxpayer expense? Any unpaid medical bills that appear to be from illegal aliens should be billed to the illegal's apparent home country not to the American taxpayer.
If I don't pay I get hounded. I ran up some serious medical bills last year in an arugement with my doctors. Why can't you people do the same to illegal aliens? Why do doctors have no problem calling MY house repeatedly, threatening MY credit rating and lecturing ME on the need to pay bills (even when I don't owe what they claim) yet they want to somehow let an illegal alien off the hook?
Ultimately we paid about 10k out of pocket last year and I have good medical coverage. Why does a doctor's organization literally argue that people like me should pay even more to finance medical care for foreign nationals?
Go chase after them and leave me the heck alone. The solution is to argue against such unfunded mandates not to argue in favor of expanded medical coverage for illegals.
1. Emergency care costs a lot of money and involves many specialties.
2. You can't hound illegals because they all lie about their names and where they live, etc. Believe me...everyone would LOVE to hound them...it's the stupid unfair way this works. It's how it always work - people who play by the rules get screwed.
Which is why a better answer is just to get rid of them. Unfortunately, the federal government also has a rule that says you can't report someone to ICE when they come into the hospital.
You can thank your government for that.
3. I 100% agree that the unfunded mandate (while nice in spirit) should be done away with. Not going to happen, though.

They are given a bill. They just ignore it.
One time we asked for money up front for a non-emergency situation (shallow cut on a hand)...and they pulled out a wad of cash and started pulling 20s off of it. You can bet if we had billed them, we would have NEVER seen a dime.

That might be one way to get money out of them - bill them upfront and tell them they'll be deported if they don't pay. They obviously have the money.
Or put a tax on Western Union money being sent out of the country. That is a whole ton of money that could be taxed and that could be used to pay for some of the emergency health care the illegals expect given to them.

Right. That is currently completely illegal. Again, please refer to your government and ask for change.
You can't deport what you can't find, either.
I don't like the western union idea because then they will get even more entitled because they think they are contributing and now have a RIGHT to free care.

I thought that our government requires emergency care only to get the patient stabilized and then they can be transported to a hospital or health care facility back in their own country.
Same with all the free maternity care, it should not get the parents their permanent right to stay, they should leave the hospital with an ICE agent escorting them back to the border, the illegal can choose if she wants to take baby home with her or abandon it here.
