first let me start by saying anyone throwing a false accusation toward me about me being pro-illegals for asking a simple question will be immediately REPORTED. look at some of my comments in the regular politics forum and you'll see that i'm not pro-illegals. i'm serious about the reporting, so seriously, don't even think about it. (i'm thinking of a certain someone who is already "on ignore" anyway but i want her to see this disclaimer so she doesn't waste her time)
------------

here's the question:

let's pretend illegals suddenly vanished. who'd want "those kind of jobs"? teenage americans of all colors? black american adults? new immigrants from asia? who?

i'm trying to fathom why on earth illegals seem to be popular. well, on this forum of course they're not. popular with businesses is what i mean.

Lets pretend we actually enforced the laws prohibiting hiring illegals and the meat packing and poultry plants had to pay American wages.....

I've taken "those" jobs before when I was laid off. People who need a job will take them. We don't need the burden of illegals. We don't need them. I can cut my own lawn, I can move my own furniture, I can do my own home inprovments, with help from family and friends, if need be. It can be done.

Don't you think that the people handling your food now are full of spite?

Do you think fast food workers and short order cooks are happy with their crappy wages?

Spiteful people are already handling your food.

Someone has to take them, the pay scale would increase until they were filled.
