This BS is beyond insane. Illegals will continue to fleece this country until there is nothing left to take.

SACRAMENTO Ė While Gov. Jerry Brown and lawmakers wrestle with the budget crisis, some Californians are adamant that much of the problem can be laid at the feet of people who are in the country illegally.

Court rulings require California to teach every child regardless of citizenship. Ditto for treating emergency cases in the hospital. All children born in this country are citizens, so counties are required to provide cash aid and other services, even if their parents are here illegally. And the federal government has been pretty stingy when it comes to reimbursing states for the rising tab.

How many countries can you show up in completely breaking those countries' immigration laws and demand nice government handouts and get by with it like is done here?

Our government doesn't blink an eye over denying American citizens some help but will bend over backwards to accomodate anyone showing up here illegally.

Itís hard to believe this is actually happening. Itís as though our government is determined to destroy this country, one state at a time.

Yes - imagine showing up in Canada without permission and demanding your life-long government handouts and free college for your kids?

You would be kindly escorted to the border and given a big hard kick over it.

And not just Canada - imagine going to Mexico and doing the same? Or to Cuba? Anywhere.

You're telling me. I have lived in Canada ( I have family up there ) during a few summers and I never even attempted to get a job because I am not Canadian and I am not authorized to work up there. The Canadians owe me nothing. I don't expect them to give me any sort of freebies and I would never work there illegally. I'd be ashamed to do so.

Now why do illegal aliens feel entitled to what they never put work into? Or paid into? That is what I don't get.

How about thanking us for giving their children free healthcare, free educatio, free housing..? Oh no! They want more.. and more and more.

I dont see how the other post are anything other than hate, thats not on subject :P

Anywho, those kids will grow up and pay taxes, cause they are American, so their parents collect foodstamps for their kids, well the kids will have papaers grow up and pay taxes and their parents will still be illegal. Say we didnt give them food, the kids would starve and would prolly end up in a shelter anyways, the cost of just giving out foodstamps is better than kids in a shelter who have tax dollars pay not only for food but for housing.

Yeah yeah yeah, they dont belong here in the first place, but it doesnt mean that a moral border is going to stop them, so california is dealing with the cards their dealt. Deal with that

The kids could go back to Mexico with their lawbreaking parents. The place where one in three kids are fat.

They're not going to starve. Any illegal found collecting welfare should be fined and deported for fraud.

Yes, without a refugee claim you are SOL. Refugee claimants in Canada receive healthcare and are allowed to work and attend school while their claim is being processed. They may even be given money for basics at the port of entry before being released with a promise to show up for their hearing. Most refugee claimants fly in - arrivals at the US/Canada border are denied under the Safe Third Country Agreement. Many of those with bogus claims flush their documents down the airplane toilet before reaching the customs desk. Canada has about 30-40,000 refugee claims/year. Luckily they have the US as a buffer with Central America. Randy Quaid applied for refugee status to get away from "Hollywood star whackers"
