More important, it might have secured money and political clout for the area. The Census Bureau uses population counts to apportion seats in the House of Representatives,
Why are they trying to represent people who are citizens of other countries & under their jurisdiction?

This is insanity.
This is one way to destroy & takeover a country without firing a single shot.

That's what makes counting illegals on the census so unfair and so wrong IMO.

Its fraud.
Its not making them actual citizens, but they are citizens with voting power by counting them.

It should be illegal

Not to mention the woman has been here for 30 years and speaks "broken" English.

So much for assimilating. And that is a common occurrence!

And what was she doing when illegal aliens were granted amnesty in the past? Hmmmm I guess someone doesn't want to pay taxes!

The Census Bureau uses population counts to apportion seats in the House of Representatives, and the federal government uses decennial census data to distribute more than $400 billion a year.
The census bureau does not apportion seats, the House uses census numbers to apportion seats and funding.

Carry on...

So what? The fact still remains that certain districts are getting unfair representation for people who aren't even in this country legally and can't vote.

No, but the data is used to add/delete seats, as well as to appropriate funds. Therefore, illegals should be excluded. If they want to include illegals in the census, they should assign a separate category that does not influence Congressional seating or the distribution of funds. After all, illegal aliens are not entitled to Congressional representation, and the funds are intended for citizens and legal residents.
