Even G.W. Bush got re-elected so anything is possible.

If Obama grants Amnesty by Executive order you WILL see impeachment.

Mr Gutierrez is an outspoken, elocuent smart congressman that has accomplished a lot for his constituents in Il, and for the USA, however since he is a proud Spanish-american, he gets a lot of heat from the radicals. With an ever growing spanish population in the USA (now one in every 5-6 americans), we will see more patriots like him(the GOP is dead)....

His actions are far from patriotic.

You're entitled to your opinion about Gutierrez but politicians are supposed to represent the best interests of all Americans, not special interest groups nor foreign invaders. I don't call his kind a patriot.

The growing Hispanic population is directly due to illegal immigration. There is nothing radical about wanting our immigration laws respected and enforced. Gutierrez wants none of that.

Is he from Spain? Or are his direct ancestors?

And were I to describe myself as a "proud European American" I'd be a racist, right?

That my be true for politicians, but US House representitives represent the concerns of all their constituents.

A House Representitive is voted in by the citizens of his district to represent all his constituents. The Constitution states that...

Quote:
14th amendment
section 2. Representatives shall be apportioned among the several States according to their respective numbers, counting the whole number of persons in each State, excluding Indians not taxed.
Since the US Census is used to apportion representitive districts, and all persons are counted in the US Census...illegal aliens are also a House Rep's constituents.

Being proud of one's roots is one thing but to advocate for those of the same roots to invade our country illegally and then be rewarded for it is quite another.

Thank you chicagonut;
i also do not see his kind in any way shape or form that of a patriot. Since when should wanting our immigration laws respected and enforced, mean anything but that. We should pull this crap in Mexico, and see what happens!

I will tell you what would happen: They would NOT put up with it. We'd probably end up in jail or dead - worst case scenario.

But it would be okay for them to do both of those things, not us. Let's not enforce our laws here, let's not look out for the American people. Let's go on a tour to promote amnesty...which is exactly what he did and is probably still doing.
