This is piecemeal amnesty. If it’s happening in Florida, you can bet ICE has the same directives nationwide.

Quote:
ICE officials in central Florida recently invited immigration lawyers to bring forward illegal immigrants facing deportation who did not have criminal records, offering provisional authorization for them to remain here and work legally.

whats funny is there is always some new policy that is needed...whats the point if the "old policy" is never followed? Illegals are illegals are illegals. Period.

Yep. Of course we all know the “new policy” is simply their code phrase for amnesty.

It's no surprise these progressives will use every sneaky under-handed trick they can to keep these illegal alien invaders in this country....

If we don't get these progressive liberals elitists out of office in 2012 America is doomed.

Then we can round up and ship (as in ban/deport) all the progressive liberal elitists over to Europe where they can finally be with their own kind.

Let us never forget this memorable scene which speaks louder than any words.............

Yeesh. Can we stop with all the "liberal this, liberal that"? This leftie is completely anti-illegal immigration. And lot of people on the right would love nothing more than to keep their cheap illegal labor, don't forget that.

A very good point. The more it is made partisan the more difficult it will be to enforce our existing laws and border.

Exactly what I wanted to request. This isn't a partisan issue and shouldn't be made into one. If you want to focus on politics and fight the good old, dem vs rep war, there's a place next door called Politics and other controversies, you can do it there.
Yac.

Yes it's partisian only because some politicians are trying to make it that.

The old time liberals were for the rights of the American people, and were not just for lower wages and high unemployment. Cesar Chavez was not considered a conservative, nor were Ralph Abernathy and Walter Mondale but they all marched to the border to demand it be enforced.

Today many of the liberals have joined up with the corporate elites and demand every increasing numbers of cheap laborers be brought in and they know full well it's really about bringing wages down to rock bottom. And they know it's about destroying the USA as it exists today and creating a North American Union for the benefit of the corporations.

Too true. I vote Democrat most of the time and consider myself "leftie" and "progressive" but I am vehemently, strongly anti-illegal immigration.

Wish you could convince your fellow "lefties and progressives" of that. You're the exception to the rule. Kudos to you.
