Overall, whites2 made up 76.3% of the record 131 million people3 who voted in November's presidential election, while blacks made up 12.1%, Hispanics 7.4% and Asians 2.5%.4Overall, whites2 made up 76.3% of the record 131 million people3 who voted in November's presidential election, while blacks made up 12.1%, Hispanics 7.4% and Asians 2.5%.4

1. Whites makeup 65.8% of our total population of 310 million = 203 million white Americans. 100 million white Americans voted at 76.8% of a total of 131 million votes cast. (close to 50% of the total of the white population voted).

2. Hispanics (based on the last census) makeup 16% of our total population of 310 million = 50 million Hispanics (can't say all Americans because illegals are counted in the census also). Nearly 10 million Hispanics voted at 7.4% of a total of 131 million votes cast. (about 20% of the total Hispanic population voted).

Somebody failed math miserably in both percentages and numbers.

So you admit that your statement here is incorrect?

Like I pointed to you, did you notice the 100% increase in Hispanic vote from 1988 to 2008, and again this is just the one that identified themselves as spanish....

I've found the Mexican-Americans that are anti-illegal, are usually the ones that are around 3rd or 4th generation American or older. I believe the vast majority of Hispanic New Mexicans fall into this category.

And I think miss yauco is grasping for straws hoping that more pro-illegal Hispanics start voting

That wasn't the issue or what was being discussed or was stated by you of which I proved you wrong. Give it up already!

What is a Legal Permanent Resident, citizen or non-citizen? Call every "non-citizen" an illegal "something or other" and you are bound to include some legal immigrants. This is exactly what my last few posts have been about.

Knowing the origins of your surname, it's ironically appropriate...

Hello fellow New Mexican...
