In what has become an annual event, once again the illegals are being allowed to take over downtown Los Angeles on Sunday May 1st, the day widely celebrated all over the Communist world. Once again the taxpayers will pay the bills for the heavy police presence, street closures, public toilets, trash disposal, and so on. Expect the usual display of communist flags, Mexican flags, Che banners and shirts, and other such subversive displays. In the Times link, interesting comments about there being some dissent and conflict among the participating groups. Also interesting is the hundreds of comments regarding the march and the illegals situation in general. The LA Times is very liberal and pro illegal, but even most of their readers are fed up with them, as most comments are hostile.

They won’t be satisfied until this turns ugly, because citizens are getting tired of their arrogance and insolence. We are a tolerant country, but enough is enough. They don’t even have enough decency to appreciate our generosity.

Let LA's Mayor Villaraigosa take the hit. He's going to furlough City Workers to help with LA's budget yet at the same time he's constanly defending and praising LA's Illegal Aliens.

His qoute was "they clean your toilets" next it will be they protest, riot and then sue the LAPD. LA deserves this for electing such an inept pro Illegal alien Mayor.

We need to place our military in LA and stop the illegal invaders from embarrassing America and burning our flags in our own streets. Arrest them for trespassing and illegal marching in our streets.

We also need to set up tons of areas to check ID to make sure whoever is shows up is legal or not legal.

Bet we could catch some criminal trespassing invaders real quick.

Time to stop being nice and not allow this to happen in our streets.

Do you think Americans could go to Mexico illegal and have an anti Mexican march in a street in Mexico. Hell no you could not. Mexico does not like illegals in their country and wont allow you to fly an American flag either.

Time for America to stop being so damn political correct and go catch a few hundred thousand illegal invaders all in one day.

This needs to end.

Yes the state with so much unemployment has politicians who still insist that they need to bring in more illegals to do those jobs the lazy Americans won't do. But as usual, it will be the Americans heading into work while the illegals have much time on their hands to protest. Notice how illegals can go from one protest to another never having to worry about how they're going to put food on the table?

Cut off the welfare handouts. These people are the most ungrateful leeches.

Most surely. As others have commented, the huge 2006 protest in LA actually gave a major boost to anti illegal immigrant sentiment. The public outrage over the antics of the illegals that day made the nation much more aware of just how serious the situation had become. The illegals shot themselves in the foot in 2006, so to speak, and did so again the following year in the MacArthur Park riot. They seem to have realized their mistakes. In recent years the violence has been toned down a bit. Fewer flag burnings, not as many communist flags and banners, more American flags, and so on. Still though, every time they march or hold a demonstration they just anger and harden the resolve of the general citizenry against them. This part they still do not get.

It's kind of ironic however. Once the Mexican government and other Central American leaders saw that the proud waving of the Mexican flag was counter-productive, they supplied the illegals USA flags.

But the USA flag means nothing to these people. It stirs no nationalist pride in them. They understand nothing of it's history, what it represents. It's the flag of the American people that they despise or resent --- and so they lose interest in protesting. They have absolutely no respect at all for the laws of the USA.

If they can't get out en masse and shout "Viva Mejico!!", and "Arriba Mejico" and "Abajo Los Estados Unidos", they don't really feel much like going. Waving a flag that means nothing to them meant a much more subdued protest.
