Don't you love how they respect all the laws...except that they chose to bypass that ONE law that would otherwise not allow her to be here in the first place.

She wouldn't be charged as "EWI" (Entered Without Inspection) since she was brought as a child (at age 11). Her "illegal presence" has been from the time she was 18-1/2 to when she was caught ("last Spring", so assumably a year younger than being 22 now). At over a year, it would be a ten-year bar from the United States.
That is, after the second year extension granted last week, prior to her graduation...
She wants to become an immigration lawyer now...

That's the beauty of her second year extension - she is able to leave on her own before ICE can touch her. A ten year bar (in some situations, with a possible waiver), but otherwise no lasting legal repercussions. If she happens to marry a U.S. citizen within this next year - Look out, she has a good chance of being able to stay.

What if she's gay? You didn't want that other gay illegal to get to stay. And if she wasn't from a hispanic nation, then you would like to see her deported.
You have a double standard.
And that's right, she should leave on her own accord. She can pursue her studies in her own country - believe it or not, her own country has universities, graduate programs. If she wishes to become a legal immigrant, she certainly has every opportunity, even more because she might have learned some English while she was here illegally and is in a better position than other would be immigrants. Also all that free education she received here gives her a nice advantage over others. She should certainly appreciate that. Being here illegally has already given her a lot more advantages than others have.
So no drivers' license and no insurance for years. What a menace to the other drivers.
Yes..... so much for obeying and respecting the laws.
It would be difficult to find an illegal that wasn't happily breaking a number of laws.
