All for the love of money. What shameful greedy parents. They abandoned her when she was just 3 and then turned her over to vicious criminals. The love of American dollars seems to have no limits.

And we need this low life type of people who would put a little girl through all this why?

Special report: Salvadoran girl survives abuse, bureaucracy on journey north - El Paso Times

What she went through would make even a grownup shudder.

Somewhere between the Mexican states of Veracruz and Chihuahua, she was sexually abused.

This story really sickens me.

This family can't be that bad off if they can afford to pay $7000.00.

I know many people that have less than that in savings with this economy.

You are correct in saying it is greed. You have a kid, move away to another country to earn money to send back home...great family values. She's 8 years old and "can't wait to meet her mother". It's sick. And of course it's not even questioned whether she will make it to the US. They assume all will work out and the grandmother complained at the medical care they had received. It saddens me that there are parents in this world that would allow this to happen to their child.

IMO, if the Dream Act were to pass we would be rewarding child abusers.

It sounds like she may become the poster child for the Dream Act children. Abandoned by both greedy neglectful parents at age 3, but five years down the road, they hear of the Dream Act and realize that will be their ticket to citizenship and a cushy social security check someday and want to make sure they get in on it, so have their long-lost little girl turned over to vicious criminals to smuggle her across Mexico and into cartel territory.

These parents should be deported. It takes some real low lives to turn over a baby to criminals in the first place and they knew full well she would be in danger. It's all about greed.

Agreed. Anyone who could do this to a child is a PIG, plain and simple. A dirty, disgusting PIG.
