Why do we keep electing soft leaders?

I thought Ron Paul was a good candidate, but he has now flip flopped.

The Dems are too bleeding-heart.
The Republicans want the cheap labor.

I say we throw 'em all out and start over. It's disgusting.

not much point.. if the laws themselves actually encourage it.

You can't elect them because there are large industries that lobby against it as they benefit from II. The same partisanship that you probably cheer is the root cause. People are very easily manipulated. Particularly on the right, so the real issues don't get dealt with.

Republicans don't really have to deal with II as they can just pander to religious conservatives, make people worried about guns, throw out the socialist monicker and they've done enough to get their base charged. Republicans don't deal with the situation as they don't need to. They have enough things to get all of you emotional enough to vote for them.

It was clear enough. If you disagree then you can make a new post yourself instead of making unnecessary changes to mine.

And just what have the Democrats done to curb illegal immigration? It isn't only the Republicans who want the cheap illegal labor the Democrats do also. The Democrats pander to Hispanics by pushing amnesty for illegal aliens and sue anyone who dares tries to enforce our immigration laws internally to gain their votes. The Democrats are the ones pushing emotion aka "separation of families, the Dream Act, only here to feed their families" rhetoric.
