More 3rd world trash + California's stupidity, WTF ??? Just look at that picture. Hormone therapy for transgender immigration detainees? - News - The Orange County Register In the story it states that IT came over Illegally.

The writer Cindy Carcamo of this story is pro Illegal but if you read the piece the truth comes out. Another reason why California is going down the tubes.

We can use educated LEGAL immigrants that are Doctors and Scientists, not ILLEGAL drug addicted weirdos like the one in this story.

Maybe Obama will bestow a green card on these losers for humanitarian reasons.

Unreal! I suppose next, taxpayers will foot the bill for sex change operations for illegals. Is there no end to this madness?

I wonder if there would be a discussion if the person were needing medication for say schizophrenia or bipolar disorder?

I think its juvenile to equate a transgender mental disorder as being a "wierdo". Life is complicated and doesnt always fit into a neat solution.

California with guidence from the AMA and the National Institutes of Health can figure this one out.

Regardless of the disorder, whether physical or mental, U.S. taxpayers should not be forced to foot the bill for people who are here in violation of our laws. If he/she wants hormone treatment, he/she should be required to pay, not taxpayers. Is there anything you won’t defend when illegals are the beneficiary?

This has been brought up before and the answer is a HE(( yes there would be a discussion. It's more money being thrown at people that not only don't belong here but broke laws to get here.

For someone so wound about law per the Constitution you don't seem to really care what other laws are being broke. There is more to law than just the Constitution.

So the Santa Anna Jail is specifically under contract from ICE for transgendered immigration detainees. Isn't the argument more with why the jail took on such a contract, and whether taxpayers of that community are getting compensated by the terms? If the expenses are higher, the contract should be negotiated higher by the administration that has it in place.

Jail Administration Division (with what looks to be improper bulleting):

"...[Santa Ana Jail] Inmate housing contracts include:
  • U.S. Marshal
    • Immigration and Customs Enforcement
    • State Parole
    • Drug Court
    • California Youth Authority
  • Courtesy holds for various agencies
These contracts have resulted in nearly $10 million annually in revenues, sufficiently funding the jail operations..."

What was that about existing on taxpayer (local to Santa Ana, California) dollars?...
