If you don't make enough you get a "refund". The taxes they are paying now are the only taxes they will be paying in this fantasy of another amnesty. They can't even get support for the DREAM act. It's the third rail of politics and without a secure border this will never happen.

You are aware that Hispanics are at least partially white also by their Spanish roots, don't you. Last I looked Spain was in Europe. More than likely more people will be of mixed race rather than a high percentage of this or that.

So partially White makes a person White ? By your logic than someone like George Lopez is White, because he is genetically over 50% European.

By that measure, President Obama is white.

I'm looking forward to an era where skin color is completely irrelevant to how people think. Much simpler.

No one said Quinceanera is a threat but it isn't an American cultural tradition. There is more to it that just celebrating a birthday also.
Cinco de Mayo isn't even a holiday in all of Mexico either! Cinco de Mayo is a regional holiday limited primarily to the state of Puebla. There is some limited recognition of the holiday in other parts of the country.

Cinco de Mayo is celebrated in the US because liquor companies trying to boost Tequila sales promoted it! Much like many Americans celebrate St. Patrick's Day even though they aren"t descendants of the Irish.

By the way do you know a "Quincenera" has a US counterpart called "sweet sixteen"? Perhaps you should watch some MTV to see how lavish those birthday celebrations are!

I think you have more deep seated issues other than when a day Americans get drunk ( Cinco de Mayo) or the birthday celebration of a young teen girl.

Reality is trying to sort people into boxes by race was always a stupid idea. Hispanics are about as mixed as you get. There's some Spanish and Portuguese in there. There's some Native American. There's some sorta dark Northern African in there and a good dose of much darker Southern and Central African.

What do the following people all have in common?

They're all from Brazil. Born and raised there in fact. They're also all people that can kick the crap out of you -- but that's cuz they're all elite MMA fighters -- and easier to find pictures of. Point is that you have a wide range of types of Hispanics. Every nation south of the border mixes things up a lot. More than the USA in a lot of cases. (And YES I'm counting Brazil as Hispanic. Bloody stupid to leave them off in a category of their own.)

Umm just because they are all from brazil doesn't mean they're all hispanic, anderson silva is clearly african not hispanic.

Born and raised in Brazil for several generations. So is he Hispanic - since he's from south of the border - or is he African American? Since he is not descended from slaves in the USA, he may not fit the "African American" mold.

And what about Lyoto Machida? Half Japanese, half Brazilian, born and raised in Brazil. What is he? Asian? Hispanic?

Maricio Rua and Demian Maia look every bit as white as any other white guy you ever saw. Christine Santos is dishwater blonde.

Point is that Hispanic isn't really a race. It's a point of origin.
