Even though the legislation was drawn up in a bipartisan fashion, Graham warned that the bill would receive little support from Republicans if health care reform were passed. Graham suggested if the White House muscled through health care, “immigration reform will be dead.”
We all saw that one coming but more interesting in the article:
Quote:
The Sunday rally in the country’s capitol allowed amnesty advocates to send a clear message that they won’t excuse any delays on revamping the “comprehensive” immigration system and they threatened leaders in Washington they would vote accordingly in the November midterm elections.
It’s worth pointing out that many of the Latino rally participants reside in this country illegally and are not eligible to vote.
Yet many pro-illegal alien advocates have shown them how to vote, illegally. Tougher restrictions need to be imposed so that we may produce an accurate vote of American citizens.
This is all a football game to the Republicans; "you score, I score"...with no concern about the subject.
Republicans are politicians at their worst, why should passing Health Care have anything to do with Immigration Reform? Nothing gets done with those people, all they know how to do is say no to everything.

Regardless whether the Hispanic vote is comprised of both legals and illegals there were only 10 million Hispanic votes cast in the presidential election. A mere pittance of the rest of America. I don't know why they think they have a large influence in the outcome of elections or with our politician's decision makings in congress.

Both sides are only concerned with personal gain. We need to clean house.

Too; quite a few Latinos (who can legally vote) are anti illegal immigration as well.

Actually, with the courts and the bureaucracy heavily laden with power hungry judges and federal employees, cleaning house of the politicians will only make things worse. Where we have experienced politicians standing up against an abusive and hyper-political Washington DC, we need to keep those politicians. In fact we need more politicians 'of the people' and fewer, like the late Jack Murtha, who built an airport nobody uses at the expense of the rest of the nation.

Absolutely! Perhaps I should have been more specific. We need to clean house of all politicians who will not fight on behalf of the citizens of this country.

Yeah but they are a quite minority. Yeah I said minority and not majority, because even among Hispanics who are legal American citizens, most of them think the U.S should provide a path for amnesty for illegal immigrants. Especially since many if not most Hispanic Americans have atleast one member in their family who is living illegally in the United States. Your Hispanic next door neighbor maybe a legal American citizen, but he or she might have a grandparent and or cousin for example who is an illegal immigrant. And he or she obviously do not want to see their family members being deported back to Guatemala, or Mexico, or Nicaragua.

You want to cite where that fact comes from...?
