Cool Alabama Slams Door on Illegal Immigration

"ACLU attorney Jared Shepherd told the Associated Press that immigrant parents may not send their child to school if they know immigration status will be checked as they may be concerned about deportation. Well, Jared Shepherd: they should be deported! They are illegally living in this country."

Alabama Slams Door on Illegal Immigration - Yahoo! News

I like this dude, the guy who wrote the story, NOT Shepherd.

Great link!!!!

So parents might not send their kids to school? Isn't that another law broken and more child abuse/neglect? I thought it was all "for the family".

In Nebraska a law was just passed that if a kid misses more than 10 days of school in a year the parents automatically have to go to court to explain why.

That's just all smoke and mirrors to demonize Alabama for implimenting this law. The information on individual families would not be turned over to ICE (but it should be IMO). It is only going to be used to determine the costs of educating illegal aliens.

No there are a number of legal ways.
Some people simply don't qualify. But still hard to complain when many have never even made the attempt to enter legally. Some seem to believe that we owe a VISA to anyone who applies possible exception being criminals. But even then these same folks want a loophole in this clause as well. If the crimes committed were due to being an illegal then they shouldn't disqualify an applicant.
The question that doesn't seem to get answered is why we should grant so many VISA's? Whats in it for the USA? WE already permit more immigration than any other country on the planet.

It doesn't make any sense. I will reiterate that on the news the other day it was stated that we need to create 200,000 new jobs per month just to keep up with our population growth.
