Indentured servant - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

These people were all impoverished, they paid 4-5 years worth of wages in order to get over here just for the opportunity at a better life. Hispanic immigrants, whether legal or illegal are no different.

These law breaking dead-beats should have been deported!
An added note, the immigrants who came here centuries ago DID NOT have the benefit of collecting all kinds of welfare benefits in the name of their children!? There was NO WIC, Section 8, food stamps, medical, free school breakfasts, lunches, and certainly no bilingual classes! They came here and supported their families entirely on their own, depended on private charities/family, or they returned to their native lands! Thus, they were a net benefit to this nation with their labor, unlike the illegals who cannot pull their own weight with their 5th grade educations, minimum wage jobs, and several kids!

You mean you don't question their background or validity of their claims as long as they support your claims?

One quick view shows dishonesty in that video. Why does the red (immigrant) bar include people who are not immigrants?

Nor is restricting immigration to those who fill a specific need. We produce a bumper crop of unskilled undereducated on our own without adding to it.

I can use common sense all on my own in reviewing an article or research regardless of whether or not someone supports my views or what their affiliations are. It isn't rocket science to know that the more population there is the more demands on a country's resources there will be.

I haven't watched the video in some time, however too much population growth whether it be from legal or illegal immigrants or even citizens is not a good thing for any country. Have you forgotten India and China as examples?

Our treasure trove of new eggs are the 1 million legal immigrants that come here annually. Or don't they count?
No, Benjamin Franklin and Andrew Johnson broke the terms of their servitude by fleeing before their contractual obligation had been filled thereby making them illegal. By your logic they should have been deported. This is why your logic of illegal=deportation no questions asked is terribly flawed. There are millions of illegal immigrants here who are doing honest work pulling more than their own weight by paying taxes just like anyone else some of which they will never be able to recoup (SS). Deportation of these people makes no logical sense, they have proved their worth to our country through their tireless efforts and the only law they have broken is some arbitrary quota. I think the Mormon Church understands this as well as the leadership in the Catholic church as well. Why is it so hard for you to see?

Why do you want to deny legal citizens (the children born on US soil) the benefits they are legally entitled to?

All illegals cannot pull their weight? Plz cite. That seems a bit... general.

Yeah..it should be MOST, not all.

LaRaza itself says 9 out of 10 Hispanic children are on food stamps.
So yeah..it's MOST but not all.

If Franklin and Johnson were here illegally in this country then yes, they should have been deported according to "today's" rules. I can't speak for what the rules were back then as it is irrelevant to today anyway.

Illegal = deportation is not my logic. It is what our immigration laws laws state today. However, it certainly makes sense.

There is no such thing as "honest" work that illegals do. They haven't the right to work in this country. They are either working with fake documents which isn't honest or working under the table and not paying income taxes another act of dishonesty. They are also stealing jobs from an American. Do you care? You need to educate yourself on the costs vs any so-called benefits to our tax coffers by illegal aliens. It is a huge negative.

Arbitrary quota? Um, our immigration quotas are based on criteria that will not negatively impact our own citizens. I would hardly call it arbitrary. Many if not most of them commit other infractions of the law besides violating our quotas for legal immigration.

Just a couple of questions and you can choose to anwer them or not. Are you an American? Are you Hispanic or some other person with ethnic ties to illegal aliens?

Birthright citizenship needs to be denied to children of illegal aliens. Until then legally they are entitled to all kinds of benefits. Illegals know that if they give birth on our soil that increases their family income and it is an incentive for them to do so several times over.

Unless an illegal alien has health and auto insurance, isn't living 10 in a 1 or 2 bedroom house, not living off their anchors and is paying all applicable income taxes ( of course through a fraudulent number though) no, they aren't pulling their weight. Very few illegals fit the above criteria. Doesn't matter anyway. This is about the rule of law and our soveirgn borders.
