He was asked wasn't he? His answer was directly what (he said) the Forest Service briefed him with before he aired. What do you suggest that he do, make something up? It's happened multiple times before near the border so history would say it was very possible.

Which fire is this? The origins of the picture is from Glenn Spencer, usually correct on time and date stamps. In the mountains, fires can flow in odd ways counter to wind direction, but the picture does look to be truthful in the way it is marked up.
