Why would we need to prove that something you are making up on the spot is wrong? Perhaps you should prove that it's correct.

What is being made up?

You made a claim I just want to see proof if you have something back your statement up?

Also he was speaking for a so-called "immigrant rights" group. He wasn't in court defending himself from some accused crime so there was no need to be afraid of incriminating himself by not being able to express himself clearly.
