Because Obama's term is deporting more illegals than any other president ever its no surprise that they have to limit the deportations to those actually committing crimes beyond the victimless crime of being in America without a visa.
Obama's ICE is so tough on illegals they have to prioritise who to deal with so they can get rid of the worst illegals asap. This should be applauded as a logical step forward. Given the finite resources of court time prioritising cases is to be expected. The only reason ICE has had to do so now is because, like i say, previous governments such as GW Bush were soft on deporting illegal migrants.
Oh and this is nothing to do with DREAM which would give illegal children who never committed a crime a chance to gain citizenship by contributing to America by national service in the armed forces or gaining higher education. Again, something which should be applauded by anyone who is in favour of migrants bettering themselves and the nation that takes them in.
It isnt surprising the DREAM act failed, its kinda disgusting how the Republicans hate the armed forces and want to make them weaker by limiting their ability to recruit willing volunteers through trying to keep DADT on the books and keeping DREAM from passing. But that is another subject for another thread as this one is related to prioritising deportations and not supporting America through DREAM.
I think the argument you get in return phil is there should be no limit to deportations or not have to prioritize.
The argument would be you don't need a court system just pick them up and deport em.
I don't think anyone would care about the Cheech Marin Movie "Born in East L.A." When he is deported while actually being a citizen who just did not have his papers on him
Kind of the opposite of our justice system where it don't matter if a few citizens get deported as long as all the illegals are shipped out
Im sure the people of this forum arent so anti american that they would believe people should receive judgements against them without trial and im sure they arent so ignorant of the deficit the US is running that they think they can devote unlimited resources to deport people whose crime causes less harm than jaywalking.

"Victimless crime"? You've a lot of catching up to do, don't you? As for these Dreamies, legalizing them will do two things. It will send a message to other illegal parents that if they can make it over the border with them their kids are home free. The Dreamies will also be put in competition with American workers for jobs and also positions in our military at a time when jobs are scarce.
