Granpa and Granny Romney renounced their citizenship to go to Mexico and practice polygamy. At some point they must have gotten it right or given up because they returned with Mitts father George in tow. I've never seen evidence that they bothered to have their citizenship restored or have George, born in Mexico, naturalized.

If their name was Lopez the right would have him on a bus headed for Nogales

Yet there stands the fact that his name isn't Lopez, it's Romney. Besides your hopes are in vain, Mormon's would never be as guiless as to forget to reaquire citizenship, and conservatives/republicans are notorious hypocrites. They probably quickly sought political assilum as the Mexican Revolution started to turn it's head against the Mormon Colonizers.
George was your average college drop out republican politician. royalty runs in the family after all, and to conservatives that is even more true. they would elect Nixon's progeny if they could simply to use the capitalist tactic of name recognition and propaganda sensationalism. None the less George can be considered a "Natural" born citizen because he was born of American citizens in a colony in Mexico, that is likely how he would have been allowed to be a politician. But I believe that no one is a citizen untill they spend 14 years in this country, throughly learn it's history, and properly understand it's progresive Nature and values. Besides, being the son of an illegal father does not make Romney an anchor baby, it makes his father a rapist! joke btw.

Mormons would never? So that blanket statement somehow is evidence? Mormons would never slaughter other Christians, but they did. The colony in Chihuahua is still there and practicing away. His father was here illegally as far as I can tell, that's why he aborted his Presidential run when the subject came up

Mexican nationality, not Mexican citizenship...

Of course we are going to need sources for ALL (not just Hispanic, as the thinking is here) countries an illegal alien parent can come from...

That will keep you busy for awhile...

No - he was not a natural born American citizen, the same reason Obama's foreign birth was such an issue and why there was a focus on his birth certificate.

The Constitution requires a president be born in the USA, not just an immigrant who attained citizenship.

They should be made to reapply at 18.

No automatic citizenship. Send them to the back of the line.
