Sadly, Obama is only concerned about his re-election. The Hispanic IA profiteers have made it very clear -- he must acquiesce to their amnesty demands, or he will not get their votes. Of course, Obama realizes the DREAM Act will again be defeated. But, he will have earned their support, and that’s all that matters.

Actually, this is a tpical dem procedure. If they get defeated the first, second or third time, just keep reintroducing it with minor changes or attempt to bypass the process to get what they want. Look at their actions when they lose an election for verification.

They just cannot accept that what they want is not what the majority of people want. It is not a noble action that they take, it is a childish attempt to always have their own way.

1) Illegals can't vote for president.
2) I keep hearing on here that legal immigrants, some of whom could possibly have earned voting rights, share disdain for illegal immigrants.

Something does not compute.

There are many proofs of exactly that happening in the 2008 elections, discovered well after the fact of course. Getting phony ID and even a phony voter ID card is really not that hard, especially for those who are here illegally and promise to vote democrat.

I believe it was the study about the rate of assimilation of immigrants posted on here a few days ago that reported Hispanic immigrants have very low voting rates. Your theory doesn't seem well supported. Why waste the political capital on pushing a measure that is going to net so few voters?

Would you care to provide a link or two supporting this assertion?

Its elctio time and he needs all the ehlp he can get. Just has he si not proposing any cuts and promates medicare as needing no reform. In the end he is a temporary prswdient and now has no power to set any last chnage. The dream act would take legislation which is now dead and on the far back burner even of progressives .

When ID is not required to vote, what's keeping them?
