I always find it interesting that the same politicians that are going at one another on the debt topic, government spending and taxes are the ones that attempt to make laws that protect illegal immigrants. How are you going to go against the other party when just weeks, months or a year ago you were voting to make it easier for illegal immigrants to live here or to give them things that would cost the government more money? Some of those politicians completely refuse to even discuss illegal immigration, but want to talk about the economic crisis when there are tons of illegal immigrants leeching money out of the treasury.

Excellent points. They don't want to talk about the elephant in the living room sucking us dry instead they totally avoid the subject of illegal immigration and the fact that a lot of our taxes are going to support illegals aliens which is a part of our budget deficit. They are so afraid of alienating the Hispanic vote that they'd rather see this country sink into a financial abyss rather than making all kinds of cuts to illegal aliens.

Yes. The politicians on both sides would rather talk about cutting Medicare to American citizens, even social security to the elderly Americans -- but why isn't there any talk about cutting off government handouts to the very able-bodied illegals and other immigrants coming here just for the purpose of living off them?

Why can't an illegal also have a hospital bill that keeps them in debt until they pay it off? Why is there no talk about limiting welfare to American citizens and American headed households?

Unfortunately while American citizens are having to tighten their belts every time they turn around, even the elderly who paid into the system their whole lives, anyone can simply walk over the border, give birth and expect to never be held accountable for anything.

How many immigrants especially the illegals are paying many dolllars into health insurance premiums? Why would they when they are just handed Medicaid?
