That is about double the next highest country, China.

Seventeen other countries around the world are listed by DHS for numbers and percentages, with the remainder group together as more than a third in each of the recent years. The Diversity Visa numbers will be within that last group, for countries that do not have higher immigration rates.
I am having a problem deciphering what you mean here. Please provide the stats on legal immigration by country of origin annually. We already know that Mexico makes up the largest group of illegal aliens in this country with another 20% being from other Latino countries.

Unlimited immigration is not a good thing. Especially if they show up with empty pockets and no skills like much of our current illegal immigrants.
OK, that's cool, maybe you should explain this to the people who are calling for more immigrants from every place that isn't mexico but not actually explaining how they expect that to happen.

Again, they have ruined the chances for millions of others due to their total disregard for anyone other than themselves.
So we don't need more immigrants, but there aren't enough of the non-mexican ones?

Seriously, come on. You're saying if all those darn Mexicans hadn't snuck in we'd be importing more non-Mexicans? I dunno, why do those non-Mexicans deserve a free pass? Because they're not Mexican?

No, I am saying we do not have infinite resources, nor can we sustain unlimited immigration. Massive illegal immigration, primarily from Mexico, has created a problem for immigration in general. Consequently, the slots we could have more evenly distributed, between various nations, have been unlawfully obtained by Mexicans. Had the same occurred with any other nationality, we would have the same problem, and I would have the same opinion.

It isnít an issue of race, ethnicity, or nationality. Rather, an issue of one country having an unfair advantage through illegal means, which greatly limits the number of immigrants we can now admit. How is that fair?

Allowing and "calling for" are two completely different things. That's like telling octomom she needs more kids to help take care of her existing kids. Really? The Govt will be on the hook for it. The Govt being us tax payers. You do realize that?

Well, I mean, you can assert it's not a good thing, except for the fact that unlimited immigration was integral in making our country as great and prosperous as it is.

Then why did Cesar Chavez and the UFW oppose massive and unlimited illegal immigration?

It simply amazes me when the pro-illegals try to justify unlimited "immigration" today by our policies of the past. We are no longer a wide open frontier in the nation building process. Our jobs and resources are dwindling and we have overcrowded conditons today due to uncontrolled population growth. Totally different country than we were 100-200 years ago.

Probably because they didn't want to have to work as hard to compete against immigrants.
