Food benefits for children are routed through illegal immigrants.

Quote:
Nearly 900 illegal immigrants who are heads of household in Alamance County receive food stamp electronic benefit transfer cards monthly, based on federal requirements to provide benefits to others living in their household who qualify. EBT food stamp cards are issued to illegal immigrants who have children who are U.S. citizens who qualify for the benefits. The county canít issue the cards directly to those residents under 18, so they are issued to a head of household instead. Without generous government welfare programs, coming to live in the USA would be a whole lot less enticing.

There is no way that tens of millions of people unable to meet the costs of living in their own country where the cost of living is very low can afford to bring and have extra large families in the USA with our very high costs of living.

Some come to work, some come to work AND use Medicaid and food stamps but many find the idea of never having to worry about work very appealing. Have babies here and you don't need to worry about having a job.

America was never set up to be an entitlement country.

I disagree. It is up to their homelands to provide food for them. When an illegal alien brings their children here or gives birth on our soil for the purpose of having us provide for them that makes it more diffilcult for our own American families to put food on the table for their own children.

I don't see Mexico clamouring to feed poor American families because it is "their responsibility" to feed the world's children.

Itís absurd to provide illegal aliens with any form of government assistance, particularly, welfare and food stamps. Talk about a magnet for illegal immigration. Itís bad enough they can thumb their noses at our laws with impunity. But, to be rewarded for their lawlessness by simply giving birth, is absolutely mind-boggling.

If the government required proof of citizenship for all payees, we would see a drastic decline in the illegal alien birthrate. Of course, they would continue to steal identities of U.S. citizens, but at least they would know they cannot simply give birth in this country for profit. As long as the government issues checks and benefits to the parents of anchors, illegals will continue to give birth to children they know they cannot afford.

I get nauseous just thinking of the billions of dollars being squandered annually on these parasites, while millions of our own citizens, including combat veterans, are homeless and sleeping on cardboard boxes. They can propose cuts to Social Security and Medicare for our seniors, but they refuse to end this blatant abuse by illegals. Itís sickening that our government takes better care of foreign interlopers than citizens. Just look at Obamaís welfare queen aunt. She is receiving welfare, subsidized housing, AND disability payments, while I personally know of several citizens who have fought for years to receive disability for bona fide chronic ailments, yet continue to be denied. Illegals are playing this country to the max, yet all who oppose are vilified.

This will be my last response to you. What is "sad" is parent's giving birth to kids they can't afford to feed. It is their responsiblity to feed them, not this country's nor the world's responsiblity.

And the glaring fact is that many of them are intentionally giving birth here just to access the many welfare programs and as their way around the immigration laws.

By giving birth here, they figure they can demand their right to stay on illegally AND collect welfare handouts. Of course this attitude has become extremely popular.

This is government assistance going to an American citizen.
