Review the topic to see the term identifying the baby, not the parents...

The term is actually more applicable to non-immigrant visa holder parents than anyone else (they can adjust status to Legal Permanent Resident more easily with a U.S. citizen child)...

Their income doesn't change the term applied to the baby...

Thanks for noting that immigration laws don't apply to the rich as well...

And also holding U.S. citizenship. It is interesting to note that the child can lose that British citizenship much more easily than the U.S. citizenship. The term stands.

Wrong.

An ANCHOR baby is a child born to ILLEGAL ALIENS in order to afford social benefits and also "hold the family" in the USA. Hence the term "anchor".

The Beckham baby has nothing to do with Anchor babies.

Not true because unlike the illegal immigrants who happen to have kids during the time they come here to work, the Chinese actually plan and schedule vacations in the U.S. specifically during the time they are going to give birth and guess what these children are referred to as?

That's why the 14th Amendment should be amended. We need to stop giving US citizenship out like candy.

Yes. Too many people born here think they deserve more than other people born here just because... they were born here.

Why? Do those babies from China diminish your experience as a citizen somehow?

This is a STUPID thread. I seriously doubt she cost us a CENT of taxpayer money. If anything, her money is probably going to pay for all these other anchor babies.

Well at least we can see that, as long as the immigrant can " pay their way", it's ok

Or if the immigrant parents themselves are rich (i.e. "They live where they want because they're jet setting tycoons"), immigration laws don't apply...
