I want them all deported including any Irish that are here illegally. I just had never heard that they are the second largest group here illegally and curious to know where that claim came from.

In Mexico immigration profiles Central Americans. I wonder why. Gringos are not profiled.

Ireland's unemployment rate is over 14%.

Irish (some illegal) are important to the hamptons and other tourist industry locations for seasonal employees.

I can't see them as being important in the overall illegal immigration thing but I can see them being high on the list of overstayers.

It appears that someone doesn't know what they are talking about. Where is Ireland on this list? The charts for both legal and illegal immigrants don't show that country anywhere on them.

That is highly impropable. Ireland is a few thousand miles across the pond. Its population is only 6 million. The poverty in Ireland is a fraction of that compared to Mexico.

Just because a person enters through a port of entry doesn't mean they're here legally. Many are smuggled in through ports of entry, or enter with a tourist, or shopping visa, and fail to leave, which makes them illegal aliens.
This right here is pretty much the best explanation for it.

The charts I posted show that most immigrants both legal and illegal are overwhelming from Mexico and other Latino countries. Ireland never even made the charts.

Did you find a chart for the nationality of overstayers only? I am curious but I can't find one.

Would be a different set than immigrants legal or illegal.
