I hope they deport them back to their country of citizenship.

Too bad we aren't catching as many as we should at the border also. This is such a national security risk with illegals coming by plane, boat and on foot.

I think it's beginning to catch on in other countries that the USA is the nation with very lax immigration laws and enforcement. If something isn't done, it's going to soon be many many more then 30 million illegals but more like a huge chunk of the over 2 billion impoverished people, all coming for their "American Dream" of free college, food stamps, WIC coupons, free health care.

Where is the pro-illegal crowd on CD? They waste no time defending those who come from Mexico and Central and South Americas...

What, the Sri Lankans aren't as special as your friends from the South? Hmmm

What is to defend?:

These Sri Lankans did not EWI (coming through a defined Port of Entry at LAX). They have no illegal presence in the United States. "Misrepresentation" charges can't be filed, because at most they are trying to be treated as Peruvians (not as U.S. citizens or LPRs) by destroying their passports in flight.

They are now held in CBP facilities - At U.S. government cost...

Awaiting removal back to their originating country (Sri Lanka, not Peru) - At U.S. government cost...

What is the net gain to the United States in the end?...

The Sri Lankans here aren't even be defined as "illegal immigrants" for the effort...

And they're not exactly going to easily blend in with those turbans on their heads.

To look Peruvian, the women could have switched them to those bowler hats...

Yep. The entire world now realizes all they have to do is manage to enter this country without detection, and they’re home free, especially if they give birth. There’s nothing like the lure of freebies.

In this case they came to the Port of Entry at LAX, and had nothing to do with illegal immigration...
