So instead of 100% about 95% will qualify.

It's an amnesty. They'll start with 300,000 - handing them their easy citizenship reward for breaking the laws and they'll add millions to their numbers.

Americans needing jobs can go to hell as far as this administration is concerned.

Also how many of these illegals being legalized are pushing retirement age? They will then be able to be rewarded with monthly social security checks and take what's left of the retirement of Americans.

It's an amnesty even when one illegal gets their deportation proceedings dropped and given a work permit. The news? Yeah, the media would try to play this down.

I agree. What does it say to a country that has millions out of work that you decide to add more to the job pool? I don't see how he can get re-elected.

Which is true, Obama has been laying the hammer down on illegals. He's got so many on the deportation list, he's putting the criminals on the first buses out of the country as the main priority, with the rest to come.

Crooks like Perry are on the side of giving jobs to illegals. Most republicans LOVE them for the cheap labor they provide. If the greedy right wing goons would stop hiring them, then those jobs would go back to americans like they should.

Sounds like someone needs to put down the tea. Obama has arrested and deported illegals on historic levels. Yes, that Obama fox and ultra right try to bash. He is one, if not the most anti-illegal president this country has ever had. Unlike right wing hero Reagan who gave blanket amnesty, W who called for it, and McCain who also tried to push through an amnesty bill in congress. It's clear to see republicans = amnesty.
What? It is mostly the Democrats that want amnesty for illegals not the Republicans. If you think that rich Democrats aren't taking advantage of cheap, illegal labor then you aren't being a realist. Last I heard 6 out of 10 rich people are Democrats.

What president/party is suing our states for enforcing our immigration laws? Hint...it isn't the Republicans.

Obama may be deporting a lot of "convicted" criminal aliens but in no way should he be allowing the none convicted ones to remain here. This mess took years to reach critical mass and our government needs to clean it up even if that means hiring more people to do it. The associated costs of allowing them to remain here will be higher than deporting them as quickly as possible. The solution certainly isn't to drop these deportation proceedings and then give them a work permit when millions of Americans are out of a job.

As for Perry, he isn't going to gain the support of most conservative Republicans because he has a track record of being soft on illegal immigration. Yeah, we know about the sellout McCain and Bush but they don't represent conservative Republicans. Compare those two to the numerous Democrats that are pro-amnesty. Reagan regretted giving amnesty to illegal aliens and that was 25 years ago so let's stick to the present, shall we?

Can the President bypass congress and the Federal law currently on the books???

This is destructive to the integrity of the American immigration system.

It is destructive to the American people who are competing with people that don't belong here for jobs especially in a recession.

Now what happens to people already legally applying for work visa's???

What a mess & disgrace for our legal immigration system.

The New York Times (a newspaper that has been bought and paid for by Carlos Slim who is Mexican and determined to ship his low skilled countrymen here so we can pay for them instead of him) has this act the very same way.

The new policy is expected to help thousands of illegal immigrants who came to the United States as young children, graduated from high school and want to go on to college or serve in the armed forces.
The Times is an incredibly pro-illegal paper. Not a week goes by when they don't run an editorial praising illegals and screaming that enforcement of our immigration laws is nothing but racism. So when they start writing about this act this way I'm inclined to take them seriously even as I despise them.

In other words sneak your brats into our already overcrowded school system. We'll not only pay for their education we'll give them amnesty. At this rate President Pander to the Hispanic Lobby is going to have to get on his hands and knees and beg for my damned vote. He might want to remember that Latinos are not the only people who vote . . .

In other words you don't need to legally come here now.

The current legal immigration system does not exist.

That also spells good bye for jobs, English, Disease & health checks, ETC

It's hilarious.

poor mexicans: bad, they want to steal our stuff
rich mexicans: bad, they want to help the poor ones steal our stuff

So basically all mexicans = bad, but there's no bigotry here, no sir!
