as well, chinese labor costs are rising and inflation is creating a lot of havoc over there, and work is now being exported to mexico:

their economy is very much dependent on oil and drugs and if america legalized drugs they would be screwed. the cantarell oil field is on the downslide, as well.

for the record, the IMF is full of crooks who will say anything to push their own particular agenda.
What was the IMF agenda in rating Mexico's economy based on its banking system, its exports, manufacturing and education? Those are facts that are easy to prove.

The Cartels contributing money and remittances from the U.S. you assume keep Mexico's economy afloat, and its doing better than the U.S. economy, are not values the IMF can rate. Those are all wild eyed assumptions. The IMF doesn't rate money from crime in its evaluations of the U.S. economy either. If the IMF could rate remittances and Cartel money then Mexico is doing even better.

It's a shame your keyboard can't make capital letters because not being able to write English correctly makes you look uneducated.

I have no issue with large Irish families or large Mormon families in the U.S.
as they are here legally

do not require / insist upon
translation services and/or the addition of a language other than English on every bloody thing
because they are too lazy to learn English.

(from michelle malkin)
Michelle Malkin, really? Her column is carried in one small town paper now, right?

The President doesn't even know this man. The President didn't meet any of his Kenyan relatives until he was in his 20's and didn't meet this man. This half uncle has been an immigration dodger since 92, long before Obama was president.

Same story in several papers:
White House: No special treatment of Obama's uncle - Quincy, MA - The Patriot Ledger

Quote:
Onyango Obama, who's from Kenya, is the half-brother of the president's late father. Onyango Obama's sister made headlines last year when she won the right to stay in the United States after an earlier deportation order.
Quote:
Press Secretary Jay Carney also said Thursday that Obama didn't know about the case involving his distant relative until being informed about it by staff.

Yes Mexico is doing better than the USA. It's found a very easy way to get rid of it's would be welfare class, it's chronic poor, it's unwed mothers, illiterate, and losers.

The illegals are those who cannot make it in their own country - and their own country has free public schools, nationalized health care, and a large and growing middle class.

The problem is this subset of people who begin breeding at very young ages, the males don't support their offspring, the women have no jobs skills to support the children they begin having at very young ages. If they come here, all is well for them but we cannot keep bringing them in.

If illegals were great for an economy, Mexico and the other countries would be trying to keep them, but obviously they are not.

Mostly Germans settled the U.S., so why isn't everyone speaking German? Almost half of the current U.S. was once part of France or Mexico so why isn't everyone speaking French or Spanish?

Good thing Mexico doesn't care that us English speakers can't or don't learn Spanish. I guess that's why we like it here, nobody treats us like they are treated in the U.S.

Romney's Mormon family settled in Mexico and didn't have papers. In New York it was common to see signs, "We hire no Irish" at one time. The U.S. has been prejudiced against almost every and any group at one time in history. Always looking for someone to blame and hate.

Just like the real estate crash.

People bought houses they could not afford

Now they are having babies they can't afford.

Because the country AS A COUNTRY was founded by the English-speaking British and everyone else needed to adjust to papers, signs, government communication, etc. Amazingly, you are making the case FOR people to assimilate.

Glad you like it there. Please stay there.
And have fun communicating with police, hospital personnel, etc. if/when there is an auto crash, medical emergency, and so on.

How ignorant to move to another country and not learn the local language.

Romney's Mormon family settled in Mexico and didn't have papers.

Never heard this but don't really care what Romney does.

Yep. Maybe I should be seeking reparations for their difficulties! Oh wait, they just got on with it and produced hard-working legal immigrants anyway.

We're America. Come on in (legally) but deal with our laws, our dominant culture, our language.
We ain't your country, we're our own.

And as long as the current laws are on the books, it’s not just hardened felons who are subject to removal, but sometimes families who are just trying to earn a living, or bright, eager students, or decent people with the best of intentions.

My thoughts exactly. I get sick of hearing the excuses and sob stories for their illegal presence in our country.
