Huh? It's not "damn untrue" - it's true. Here's the incarceration rates (per 100,000 citizens) of various countries and their world rankings ().

United States - 743 (1st)
Russia - 577 (2nd)
Iran - 223 (53th)
Mexico - 200 (63th)
UK - 150 (92th)
China - 120 (117th)
Canada - 117 (123th)
Germany - 88 (152nd)
Norway - 71 (168th)
India - 32 (205th)

Do you live under a rock?

Federal Law states that ALL Illegal Aliens are to be prosecuted and deported.. Yet Obama and this administration are only picking and choosing which ones they want to prosecute and/or deport.

If that is not above the law, I don't know what is.

I was talking about the comment made that it's easier to go to jail in America than Russia or China. You guys need to do your homework if you think that is true.

The comment was that you're more likely to be incarcerated in the United States than anywhere else in the world.

That's true - and true by a mile. We put people in prison like no other country on Earth. (29% more imprisonments per population than the next closest country - Russia. 519% more imprisonments per population than China. 946% more imprisonments per population than Norway).

All this talk of impeachment highlights the GOP's realization that they won't be able to defeat Obama at the ballot box.

Fox news this AM stated that the administration had decided to "reduce the number of deportees" but the rest of the piece dealt with the fact that OBama's admin. had been extensivley "more active" in deporting hundreds of thousands whereas the previous admin's. under both Clinton and Bush were lackluster to say the least.

It was also pointed out that O'Bama was feeling the heat from the Mexican and latin protests about this very thing and perhaps the decision to "ease off" on the deportations was "political" in nature prior to the polls.

If anyone thinks Republicans are going to handle the illegal immigration situation any better,
you have another think coming.

Republicans want the cheap labor.
Democrats don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.

We're screwed by both parties,

not to mention that looking the other way with illegals is a slap in the face to those who came here,
and continue to come here,
legally.

HUGE difference between passing laws that will be upheld, and ignoring those laws because of your ideology.

Amen & Amen to that whenever that course of inaction is followed regardless of Party in Office.
