The Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency expects to deport about 400,000 people this fiscal year, nearly 10 percent above the Bush administration's 2008 total and 25 percent more than were deported in 2007. The pace of company audits has roughly quadrupled since President George W. Bush's final year in office.
Deportation of illegal immigrants increases under Obama administration

Just a little something else that goes largely ignored by the Obama bashers. Maybe it's just the "news" outlets that the choose to listen to failing to give them the facts.

Not anymore. They just changed the rules again.
They will look at each deportation and if the person is in school, has family in the military or takes care of someone else they will let them stay in the US.
This administration just made the rules on deportation more lenient.

Not only can they stay but can get work permits now !

Not keeping up with current events. Backdoor amnesty.

Dems cheer Obama
"Democrats in both chambers are cheering Thursday after the Obama administration unveiled more lenient rules surrounding the deportation of illegal immigrants.
The changes — announced by the Department of Homeland Security — will allow many illegal immigrants to remain in the country and apply for work permits."

Apparently you are not aware of Obama's latest shennanigans. He's legalized them all now, essentially they've been given their amnesty. Not only that he just ordered the Dream Act by decree.

Sure, he increased deportations, but without securing the borders. How effective is that? We deport, and they return the following week. Plus, he only increased deportations to pave the way for amnesty. Compared to the untold millions allowed to remain, 400,000 is just a drop in the bucket. In other words, the deported are simply considered collateral damage.

Moreover, they released hundreds of thousands of criminal aliens, and have dismissed thousands of cases scheduled for hearings. Some were even in courtrooms waiting, when, to their surprise, were told their case had been dismissed.
