Sarkozy wants EU to do more about illegal immigrants (visa, American, school)

President Nicolas Sarkozy threatened in a key election rally Sunday to pull France out of Europe's 26-nation visa free zone unless the EU does more to keep out illegal immigrants.Sarkozy, who this week said France had too many foreigners, made the threat at a mass meeting which he hopes will turn the tide against front-running Socialist Francois Hollande with just 42 days to go before election day.

Sarkozy is a liar. He's only saying this to win over right-wing voters for the presidential election in April.
As usual, he will do nothing about the illegals if he's re-elected, as he did nothing about it during the last 5 years of his presidency...

france and america have currently and historically much more in common than most think.
they both are currently overrun with immigrants, have way too many young poople going to school for advanced general ed, and not near enough people going into high end blue collar skilled labor.
neither france nor america needs millions of new managers.

The daughter of Jean-Marie, carrying on from her father, raises some interesting possibilities. In a practical sense though, very unlikely that Socialist France would swing that far right.

Indeed FN is only far-right from the perspective of socialists and communists (or the NY times and leftist french medias (sadly all the medias in france)).
