Resentful of people born here? That would be goofy don't you think? If an American wanted to immigrate to Spain or Greece and was able to do so, how could he resent the people of those countries?

You clearly missed the point. And I said emigrated...as in LEFT their home country.

Why should a naturalized citizen be resentful of a native born citizen gaining citizenship by birth especially if their family has been here for generations? I can see them being resentful of it if the citizen has illegal alien parents though.

I never hear of any American objecting to the illegals being served a meal and given water to drink before they are returned home.
Even some of the Minutemen did that but all they got was smeared about and spat on by the pro-illegal crowd. The majority of them were not all bad apples.

I agree with you, the needs of our citizens should come first and foremost before the needs of any other meaning illegals.

There is a part of me that does feel sorry for the chidlren, because there Parents do take them across while they are infants or small children, however this is still no reason to give the parents a free pass to citizenship.

The needs of American citizens should always come first in this country.

Do you believe their livelihoods are more important than non-citizens?

Your ¨Romanian¨ went all the the way to naturalizing, I just wondered if there would be others that he felt didn´t ¨earn¨ that same citizenship. That same status is impossible for an illegal alien to attain, unless they go through some sort of process to become a Legal Permanent Resident like he was before. In reality, you asked us to put ourselves in his shoes, my ¨Romanian¨ immigrant didn´t feel his status threatened by others.
