Here is an interesting article:

There is a lot more to it than this small quote above.

At the bottom of the article after it finishes pointed out our state immigration laws it shows Hispanic influences on America.

What does this have to do with illegally coming here?

More disturbing is that they pointed out that illegals took over abandoned houses and claimed them for their own. Did they not stop to think for a minute that someone still owns the land? That they are stealing?

Unreal.

Alabama! All states should follow Alabama's example.

Yet illegal immigrants have become a fundamental part of the American system. Huge swaths of the economy rely on the cheap labour they provide.
The same was said about slavery. We abolished it. No need to allow illegal aliens to become the new class of "slave". Send them home where they are free to apply for entry into this country legally. When they enter legally they will have protection under the law instead of having to hide from the law.

But it has been argued here that legal immigrants are not under any (or alternatively, all) Constitutional protections unless they naturalize...

So in your ideal world, when slavery ended should they have sent all the slaves back to africa?

And they made it sound as if squatting was a good thing. Does that mean I can move in and claim any abandoned/empty property I see? I thought you could be prosecuted for that.

If the property is abandoned, then yeah, you can claim it. That's pretty much what abandoned means.
