IMO, amnesty is not deporting an illegal alien when it is known they are here illegally. Who is anti-"immigrant"? We can't hold views of our own without the help of some new's station? Does that mean that the left all listen to the NCLR then and hold no individual views of their own?

Amnesty is the act of granting a pardon for laws violated without a trial to determine guilt. To overlook past offenses.
Pretty sure that is exactly what Obama is attempting to do.

Is protecting our borders one of his duties as President? I think he is absolutely impeachable and should be for making such a statement.

It is, but I think Obama also is trying to appease the Mexican government -- suddenly he did this big amnesty deal right after his administration's Fast and Furious came out.

This amnesty very obviously isn't about jobs for the American people, very much the opposite but what better why to appease the government of Mexico who otherwise might be a whole lot more vocal about that weapons smuggling the adminstration allowed and even encouraged.

You really have to wonder about these deals that get made quickly, without fanfare, and completely around the Constitution and the Balance of Powers. Why would Obama shove through a deal that benefits only foreign citizens here breaking the laws except to appease some foreign government?

You are certainly on the mark. He needs the votes in 12 and we watched Bush pander to the open border crowd as well. I am tired of our leaders giving this country away like it is worthless. We desperately need these jobs for Americans right now. Fast and Furious will get swept under the rug with the help of a loyal media.

Two good points!

This country or the privilege of living in it are not for sale.

The Fast & Furious fiasco ought to be plastered all over the front page....and often.
It's an outrage!

No we do need reform, and we also need law enforcement. The issue with reform is how some define reform. To some reform is allowing unlimited immigration without regard to the needs of this country or the potential negative impacts. Thats not reform that is chaos.
Reform would be a streamlining of the process and an overhaul of procedures. If anything we need to set higher standards.
Reform would be that Immigrants who have become naturalized should not have to wait years to bring their children here. Reform would mean eliminating the redundancy in the system. Why must an immigrant need to resubmit the exact same paper work over and over for each step of the process? Did their birth certificate change? Their finger prints? I swear the process is more about validating all the civil service jobs than it is to process an application. Travel 200 miles to get finger prints done over again? Its a joke.
Law enforcement. We need to hold all who violate the law accountable. That includes Joe cheapo to cheap to hire a licensed contractor who trolls the Homedepot parking lots looking for cheap illegal labor. That includes greedy landlords, churches that offer shelter to illegals, city councils that defy immigration laws and create sanctuary cities.

Yes, yes, yes but enforcement and the massive leak at the border must come to end first and foremost and before there should be any talk of anything further.

We know what reform means to those politicians that spout it the most and it is not the "best definition" of it.
