Many from my fathers side were alcoholics. I dont have a good thing to say about drunks. Am I a hypocrite?
She is admitting that illegal immigration is wrong and shouldnt be rewarded. She is correct.
Did your father's side being alcoholics have anything to do with you being a citizen? Did you benefit from them being alcoholics? If not, then your analogy doesn't hold water.
Lol, you are a hypocrite as well. Opposing things that you personally benefited from.
So, if one's grandfather was a bank robber and left that money to his descendants whether they wanted it or not, his descendants should approve of bank robbery then?

Birth right citizenship is not robbery. Stop with the silly analogies!!

Not really, a person can disagree with the mistakes/wrongs off the past and work towards solving the problems of the present.
What has transpired years ago at times can't be undone. Steps can be taken in the future to address and solve the issues so they won't repeat themselves.

It isn't a silly analogy. The analogy went right over your head. The point is that just because someone benefited from their ancestor's lawbreaking of which they had no control over that doesn't mean that they should approve of that same lawbreaking in today's world.

You've made your point, but common sense and liberalism are two things that don't go together.

If my grand parents were thieves and their stolen goods provided me with nice things would I still be wrong for condemning them as thieves?Anything they bought for me I recieved without asking for and are things I cant give back.
So if my grandfather has been a law breaker, let's say, a murderer... I shouldn't oppose murders because that would make me a hypocrite? Yeah, right....

Dear, some people just refuse to accept anything that doesn't fit their liberal agenda.
Your analogy makes too much sense!
